Room 12 kemu

This is a team game we play in te ruma tekau ma rua.  We are in two teams and we put a water bottle in the centre and then have to knock it over with the ball.  We practise left and right handed throwing.  FUN!

Gymnastics display

 

   A group of the children have been working hard on their gymnastics skills.  Today they gave us a demonstration on the top courts.  They were amazing.

Sorry Mr Gilmore, I didn’t get your demonstration on camera.  Maybe next time :-)

School Athletics

Well, school athletics was on Thursday and there was some hot competition.  Well done to everyone in Room 12.  You are all awesome for giving it a go, and fantastic effort to those who are into the interschool team.  Way to go people.  Ko te mihi atu ki a koutou.  Look at some of these photos and see the effort on the faces of the children.

   

Thanks to Maree for the photos.  She was with the year six boys hence they dominate the pictures.  Well done to Nivarna and LoPini who are in every event bar high jump at interschools.  Ka pai to mahi!

More bubble fun

Hpe you are all excited about more bubbles at the school gala, 26th of November.  I want this guys job!

Tidying up in the school garden

 

On Tuesday afternoon a small group of Room 12 students set to work in the school garden.  There was some weeding to do, some tomato plants to put in the garden and adding compost and then mulching the garden beds.

Mrs Evans brough us some of her tastiest tomato plants, a heritage tomato called Black Krim.  They are a purple / black colour when they are ripe and taste delicious.  Thanks Mrs Evans!
