Back to School tomorrow

I hope you are all as excited as me about going back to school tomorrow. The holidays have been great but I am looking forward to seeing you all and finding out what you have been doing.

Production was Amazing!!!!

Vector Orchestra trip

Late last term we went into Wellington for a scavenger hunt and to listen to the 'Myths and Legends' concert from the Wellington Vector Orchestra. The compere for the orchestra was really funny and helped us link the music to the stories. I really liked the Ride of the Valkyries music.

Te Papa Trip

We went for a visit to Te Papa where we learned about Matariki. We listened to several stories about the Matariki constellation and we went into the starlab to see where MAtariki is in the Southern sky. We also went onto the marae and looked at many beautiful korowai. Later we made our own class korowai with our hopes for the rest of the year on them. Matariki is the traditional time to set goals for the NEw Year. We finished the day with some free time to explore Te Papa with our teachers and parents.
