Te Papa Trip

We went for a visit to Te Papa where we learned about Matariki. We listened to several stories about the Matariki constellation and we went into the starlab to see where MAtariki is in the Southern sky. We also went onto the marae and looked at many beautiful korowai. Later we made our own class korowai with our hopes for the rest of the year on them. Matariki is the traditional time to set goals for the NEw Year. We finished the day with some free time to explore Te Papa with our teachers and parents.
